4/10 → 10/10authentication score
None → RejectDMARC policy
10/10Mail-Tester score
3 of 3SPF, DKIM, DMARC passing
The challenge
The sending domain scored only 4 out of 10: SPF was passing, DMARC had no policy and DKIM was failing. With that setup, mailbox providers are far more likely to route campaigns to spam. Clients describe the same symptom: "My emails mostly ended up in the prospects spam box."
Project implementation
- Authenticated the sending domain end to end: SPF, DKIM and a DMARC policy of Reject.
- Set up a dedicated sending domain in GoHighLevel on a staged domain warm-up (daily limits of 1,000 and 5,000 emails shown on the warm-up screens).
- Built a warm-up workflow that checks whether contacts open the email and adjusts an email score.
- Verified the result with independent tests and a deliverability audit checklist.
Results
- Authentication score improved from 4/10 to 10/10.
- DMARC policy moved from None to Reject; SPF, DKIM and DMARC all passing; risk level shown as Low.
- Mail-Tester score: 10/10 - "You're properly authenticated", "Your message is safe and well formatted", "You're not blocklisted".
